I was not impressed with this book. I have had dogs all my life and love them dearly. And a lot of what was in the book is true to many dogs. One part was about having to pull bones out of their dogs throats. She said after the 10th time she got used to it and it didn't gross her out anymore. What!!! I would think that after the first or second time you would quit giving your dog access to bones or similar things that they could choke on. And the chocolate!! You didn't have it "out of reach" if they got it.
I am not an animal rights activist or anything like that. Just not that impressed with the book. Or should I say the owners of these poor dogs.
If you love your dogs and they are family this a book for you.
this is a very nice story and recommend it to all dog lovers elizabeth parker is a very good author,have read herpevious books
It was fun to read a book and think, hmmm, my dog DOES do that! Especially when the things aren't what "typical" dogs do.
This could have been such an enjoyable experience. It was done with a lot of feeling and limited expertise.
There should have been a professional editing job. As it is it was dreary and repetitive.
if you are a dog lover as I am this is a must read. Elizabeth relates anecdotes about her dogs and you sit back and say, yup, mine do that too. You read about her dogs and see your own dogs pretty little faces instead of hers. I've recommended this book to many other dog lovers. Will not disappoint!
